Justyna Kramer Adventurer, photographer, sailor When I was 22 years old, packed my backpack, left Poland, and went off to explore the world. For the next 15 years, I lived in Switzerland, England, France the Caribbean and the USA, often staying in one country or another for a few years. This Ex-Pat life has allowed me to come to know people, share in their conversations, their meals, and their lives, to feel the spirit of a different land and its culture. All this travel led me to a greater understanding of and appreciation for our planet and the people who live on it. It wasn’t long before I found photography as a way to stop time for a second, to hold on to it, to share what I’d seen and felt ent with others. A frustrated painter, photography became another extension of my interest in creativity visual art. My eyes dances when I see something beautiful and unique through my camera. I love capturing these moments. My first ocean experience was sailing a boat from Europe to the Caribbean, and that is where I’ve been for the last 10 years, sailing between The Virgin Islands and Trinidad, photographing the islands, the people and their cultures. Photography became a way to document what I saw, felt, tasted and heard. When I photograph people, either candid or as formal portraits, I hope to capture their spirit, their inner self, to help them share who they are with the world.
